Maybe BevMo?
I LOVED this place! Great food and entertainment! PAELLA is EXCELLENT
A bit of a disappointment: amateurish beer, marginal, insipid bar food fold as “tapasâ€, mediocre service. Might be an ok destination for a group of beer-guzzling frat boys. But... there are better options even for that.
MoreGreat selection of brews on draft. Had the Howard Street IPA for 8$ a pint along with the Thirsty Burger which was absolutely fantastic ($16) and came with a side of potatoes. Service was friendly and fast. Would highly recommend.
MoreGreat small bites for food, recommend the Sea Wolf White IPA for beer!
Good beer, super yummy food, and right across the street from SF MOMA!
They offer tours at this location; I thought more people would be interested but it was literally just me & my bf on the tour lol. The girl giving us the tour was really chill and even gave us a free pour after!
MoreSmall but nice selection of different beers on tap. Tapas are really tasty and the thirsty burger is so delicious. Service personal was always helpful (recommended entrees and some dessert options) and super friendly. We went to the Bartlett Hall as well but we liked the thirsty bear so much more and would definitely come here again.
MoreVery busy Brewery on Howard Street. Beer was decent. Nothing jumped out at us as being great.
MoreTasty, quick bites. Perfect for convention lunch.
Burger and beer for lunch. No idea what Nitrogen Cask is and not much of a beer drinker but had a porter. I splurged for the special add-on to the fries...turns out it's kind of like a tomato sauce and herbs over hard potatoes...eh whatever. Burger was good though.
MoreHave to be honest. The food leaves much to be desired! I ordered the burger which looked amazing reading the menu. In reality, it was an average, stock standard meal, quite overpriced what limited value it really represents. The beers are good, great selection and reasonably priced.
MoreI really liked that they offer a flight of all 9 beers on tap, and I was offered samples of their 2 cask beers after asking about them! The only thing left to be desired for me in particular was that none of the beers really popped for my tastes - but don't get me wrong, they were pretty good.
MoreBrilliant drinking hole for craft ales and good food. Spanish tapas on the menu. Brilliant friendly atmosphere replicated by the staff.
MoreThe beer is decent, but the service is excellent. The bartenders were very passionate when explaining how their brewery works and what each beer was. They don't keep the same beer on tap for very long, so that's a reason to visit periodically and try new things.
MoreBeer is just ok, there are better places to grab a pint in town. Vibe is cool tho. Gr8 atmosphere.
MoreGreat Thirsty Burger and wonderful beers. Really enjoyed the Wander Bock with the burger. Had samples of all the others - all terrific!
Moreplease reconsider this place for your any private events this holiday season. I understand their pricing may be reasonable however, it's not worth the service. We had a private section upstairs and our bartender was absolutely so rude I was forced to write this review immediately the next day. This is my second and last time going to Thirsty Bear as there are plenty of better places within SF.
MoreGreat spot for beers and small plates. Plenty of seating and it's across from the SFMOMA😀
MoreThe food was top notch, great selection of beer.
So I am trying the beer flight. My favorite so far is the the Panda Bear, not bitter (not a fan of bitterness). It definitely has the vanilla notes, and it smells like a bakery which for me is yummy. I also liked the NSFW, I mean SFBW (ugh my mind goes to places sometimes), anyway it was really good too. The bar is huge, nice decors, chill environment, nice staff. I did not try the food so I can’t comment on that. But I really enjoyed this place, definitely coming back. The only complaint, not that I should have any, the waiter seemed disappointed we only ordered drinks, no food. Oh well.
MorePretty good selection of interesting organic beer. Service at the bar was friendly and quick. The only downside was that I didn't think to buy a flight until we didn't have time to drink them. Would like to return to see how other beers stack up
MoreThe food was tasty but for the price the portions were tiny. The beer was okay but the descriptors were off, way off. Get a tasting flight and share with your table to find out what they actually taste like and then order, or better yet get the sangria.
MoreGreat location, outstanding cask ale and superb tapas. All delivered with top notch service. The waiter evevn drew me a map to to the closest bus stop!
MoreGood craft booze, but better food. I expected more from ceviche. Paella is expensive but good.
MoreDisappointment. The food is very bougie and over thought. Beer was pedestrian for Central California "brewery"...sad because the staff was very helpful, attentive and the BEST thing about this establishment. Had the best hopes....
MoreService was sub-par but food was awful. Our food came cold and soggy. Lamb wrap was cold. Bacon tasted terrible and fake. Fish and chips had thick and soggy batter. Potato was hard as a rock. Also the burger wasn’t seasoned at all. Lots tasted microwaved. Over all Disgusting.
MoreHip beer and tapas joint. Food is expensive, but expected in San Francisco. Loved the flatbread! Worth checking out, especially on Sundays when the flamenco dancers are performing! They're amazing!
MoreNice beer ! came back late and just wanna some simple food, this is across the hotel and we had some tapas, OK!
MoreThe beer was pretty good and there were quite a few options. We tried every beer they had on tap and a couple stood out for sure. The tapas we ordered were hit & miss. We really liked the empanadas, potatoes and asparagus, but the tortillas and the ceviche left quite a bit to be desired.
MoreAmazing selection of beer and excellently attention to service. Must visit for beer lovers. They change most of their beers every few months. Right opp soma.
Morewe went for dinner they close early so we could only order Burgers; the Burger was good;
MoreSo the organic brewery thing sounds like a gimmick, but the beer here is great! I got the flight (which was really decently priced) and tried everything on the menu. 90% of what I tried was clean, unique, and crisp. From what I can tell the food is high quality as well. Definitely a great brewery.
MoreMy favorite brewery in SF! Wonderful staff and great beer!
Wow what a surprise to your taste buds!!!! After a long day of work this is the perfect place for food, fun and friends. Atmosphere was live, food was just delicious and a perfect place to try something new. When we stopped in we had the pleasure of enjoying there special menu of restaurant week. We got the pleasure to enjoy a 4 course meals for a awesome price. With every course you receive a difference beer to pair with that entree’. That was a experience. Each course was a pop of flavor for your taste buds. This place is a MUST TRY!!!! You will not regret it.
MoreWent for a business lunch and really enjoyed it. Caesar salad with added chicken was delicious. The deviled eggs could have used a bit more zip. The piquillo pepper tapas was beautiful, like little elf hats full of tuna mush, very tasty. Loved the atmosphere. Did not deliver into their brew selection.
MoreGood food at great prices. Beer was good. Nice place.
The beer flight was a good starter. I would give the hamburger 3 stars, the grilled chicken sando 4 stars. The potatoes are ok but not very interesting. Our server was delightful and informative about all the beers.
MoreLoved the beer but the churros weren't quite the texture I was hoping for and I wasn't a huge fan of their hot chocolate thing that came with it. Their Mac and cheese though, was so kind meltingly delicious. And the service was incredible and very attentive. And again, I'll be back again and again for the beer. If I want such a stickler for churros it would be 5 stars. Sorry for the low quality photo.
MoreGood tasting plus best beef salad
Great place to watch the game and have flights.People here are very nice.
Awesome staff, one of the best burguers that I had locally, the thirsty burguer there is something about the smokiness
MoreNice space and atmosphere. Great ales and on premise bears and good reasonably priced food.
